Check out this sweet antique Hickory Dickory Dock Nursery Rhyme Coffee Mug! We've had a tough time pinpointing the mug's exact age, but based off of our research we believe this mug dates back to the early 1900's timeframe. (1910's - 1930's). The mug is nice and small, perfect for a toddler or child! Made of creamy white porcelain, the mug is adorned with a great image of a child carrying a candlestick while being frightened by a mouse that leaps from a nearby cuckoo clock! Lining the rim of the mug as well as some of the handle is a red band.
The mug's colors are still wonderfully bright and vivid and the its porcelain has crazing throughout, which adds to its wonderful antique look. Would be a nice addition for anyone who collects unique coffee mugs or nursery rhyme memorabilia.
The are no markings on the bottom of the mug.
Measurements: 2 11/16" Tall x 2.5" in Diameter
Item Condition: Mug is in great shape considering its age, with no cracks! Colors are still nice and bright! Porcelain has crazing throughout the mug's surface, which we absolutely love! There is one small area where the red ring around the mug's lip shows some light wear. The mug's bottom edges shows some wear and is rugged in some areas. Back of mug has a few light black lines near the lip as well as a brown spot beneath the handle. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
