Early 1900's Crude Medicine Canisters - Set of Three

Check out these incredibly cool antique crude medicine medicine from the early 1900's! If you're not familiar with the term, crude medicines are naturally occurring substances obtained from organic or inorganic sources such as plants, animals, bacteria, etc intended for use in the disease treatment and prevention in man or other animals. These three canisters were distributed by Smith, Kline & French Inc, which was a Wholesale druggist company from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that specialized in selling all sorts of household remedies. Perfect for collectors of antique medicine bottles or anyone looking for an odd and peculiar item to display on their bookshelf or cabinet of curiosities! 

With this order you'll receive the three canisters pictured in the photos! We can't get enough of their wonderfully weathered labels! 

Canister Details:

- African Ginger (Powdered)
- Tragacanth - A (Powdered)
- Areca Nuts (Powdered)

Measurements: 4.25" Tall x 2 3/8" in Diameter

Item Condition: Nicely weathered antique condition. The metal tops and bottoms of each canister are nice and rusty. Each canister also has a few small dents. The paper labels on each canister show considerable wear such as light soilage, some worn areas, spotting, scuffing, small tears, etc. We have not attempted to open the canisters but can tell that each contain some remaining remnants of the original contents. Please note that the remnants are not meant for human consumption and the canisters are for display purposes only. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
