People's Republic of China Wall Map

Check out this sweet vintage school wall map that displays The People's Republic of China and its Historical Development through 1965. Printed in Chicago, Illinois by Denoyer - Geppert / Rand McNally, this wonderful map has wonderfully vivid colors and is printed on a heavy paper material. Back in the day this map would have been attached to a metal bracket and rod which would have allowed history teachers to easily pull down the map for display purposes in their classroom. As you can see, the map has since been removed from the bracket and is being sold as is. This map would look great hanging in your library or study, either framed or as is!

We absolutely love the map's bright color palette! The map also details the area of land that was under Mao Tse-tung's Communist Sphere of Influence until 1934, and the path of the Long March, which was a military retreat undertaken by the Red Army of the Communist Party of China back in 1945. Cool huh?

Note: There is a slight glare on the map due to our lighting equipment. The colors are more bold in person!

Measurements: 43.25" Wide x 29.75" Long

Item Condition: Wonderful vintage condition! Colors are still wonderfully bold and vivid! Has some normal wear due to years of use (i.e. wrinkling, creases, etc) but no major rips or tears! As you can see in picture #4, the lower right hand corner of the map is lightly soiled and contains a pencil mark which you may be able to remove with an eraser. In picture #5 you'll notice that the on the back of the map the upper portion has some brown spots. The good news is that these are not visible on the front! There is a slight glare on the map due to our lighting equipment. Please see the provided pictures for further details.
